UMD Programs in Italy

The University of Minnesota Duluth offers short-term programs to Italy. Italy plays a prominent role in European and global cultural and diplomatic affairs. The country's European political, social and economic influences make it a major regional power. The country has a high public education level and is a highly globalized nation. Modern Italy is a democratic republic. It has been ranked the world's 23rd most-developed country and its quality-of-life index has been ranked in the top ten in the world. Italy enjoys a very high standard of living.

Students participating in this May session program in Italy will study the historical aspects that merge with social, cultural, & environmental factors to tell their story through the arts offering insight into the beliefs, traditions, politics, and religion of Italy’s communities.
