Information for Applied and/or Accepted Students

Applied &/or Accepted Students | Global Partnerships (GPS) Program Information | Checklist Forms | Study Abroad Handbooks

Applied and/or Accepted Study Students Students who have completed the UMD study abroad online application will be assigned checklist items by the International Education Office. Electronic copies of the forms can be found alphabetically below. Complete the appropriate forms and submit as instructed (via hard copy or electronically).

The International Education Office will provide assistance to students for completing necessary application materials, such as foreign university study abroad applications and visa applications. Students will also receive information about passports and traveling. Accepted students will be responsible for:

  • Completing necessary additional materials from UMD and the foreign university (if applicable)
  • Understanding the nature of signed agreements
  • Submitting required deposits and materials by deadlines noted
  • Ensuring UMD records are up-to-date (e.g. no holds on account, tuition paid on time, etc.)
  • Any additional points noted in the UMD General Study Abroad Handbook

Please note, if applying to a study abroad program with a foreign university, final acceptance will be given by the foreign university. Students will be notified directly by the foreign university about application/acceptance status and will receive directions on any next steps required by the foreign university.

Students accepted to Partner Programs

Students studying on partner programs (not coordinated by UMD) should submit their initial application directly to the program sponsor. Once accepted by the program sponsor complete and submit a UMD application.

IEO Downloadable Forms Congratulations on applying to your study program. To complete your checklist(s) locate the appropriate form below and submit the completed document to IEO. Refer to your checklist as to the appropriate manner in which to submit your document (hard copy or electronic copy).
