Should I fill out a profile and an application?
Only an application is required. However, a profile may be useful to help you in narrowing down your program choices and to best utilize your meeting with a study abroad adviser.
What do the terms sponsor, program, track, and track term refer to?
How much is the application fee?
Information about fees can be found here.
What does a complete application include?
Applications vary by program, but typically include a brief personal statement and any non-UMN transcripts, as applicable. These items will be listed on an assigned checklist and can be uploaded directly to your online application or submitted in hard copy to the International Education Office.
Can I complete more than one application?
Yes, you can apply to multiple programs for the same term, and/or to different programs during different terms. The appropriate application fee(s) will be billed.
If I apply for more than one program during a term, can I indicate priority?
Yes, once your applications are submitted you can select and modify the order of priority for all applications during a specific term.
Which Education Abroad (EA) center do I select when completing an application?
Select the University of Minnesota campus that hosts the program. If your program is not coordinated by another University of Minnesota campus, select the University of Minnesota Duluth's International Education Office.
I'm not applying to a UMD program, do I still need to complete a UMD application?
Yes, students who would like to stay enrolled at UMD during their study abroad experience will need to complete a UMD application and submit the appropriate forms. If you are applying to a University of Minnesota System program (Twin Cities or Morris) you will only need to submit an application with the UM campus that coordinates the program.
