Study in New Zealand

New Zealand has a reputation for being friendly, safe and relaxed. It is an English-speaking country with a culturally diverse population of approximately four million people including the Māori, the indigenous people of New Zealand. As a modern and technologically advanced country, New Zealand is well known for its spectacular scenery and was featured in the “Lord of the Rings” film series. If you enjoy hiking, skiing, scuba diving, bungee jumping, mountain climbing, or just lying on the beach, New Zealand is the place for you. New Zealand lies in the South Pacific and consists of two main islands, the North and South Islands. Together, these are similar in size to Japan or the United Kingdom. The country is three hours by air from the east coast of Australia, and is an overnight flight from the west coast of the USA.

The University of Waikato is located in the North Island city of Hamilton, New Zealand, just south of the capital Auckland. Over 14,000 students study at Waikato in the following areas: arts and social sciences, computing & mathematical sciences, education (including sport and leisure studies and technology education), science and technology, and management (business, economics, etc.).
