Duluth, with a population of 87,000 is a four season city, as breathtaking in winter white as it is in summer green. Duluth is mostly known for its rocky shoreline and steep inclines on Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes. The city has over 105,000 acres of green space, 23 streams, over 20 miles of hiking and cross country ski trails, downhill skiing and is the gateway to Lake Superior's north shore.

Weather

The average yearly temperature in Duluth ranges from –20 C to35 C (-4 F to 95 F). From early June until mid September the weather is warm. Then the weather cools, until in December, January and February it is very cold. Cooler weather continues until mid May.
