BohH 90: Playing an Audio Cassette.

1. Obtain the keys.

The BohH 90 equipment key may be requested by departments or by faculty teaching in BohH 90.

Classroom keys and building master keys do not open these locks. Departments with faculty or staff needing access to the AV /computer equipment may want to have a key in their department office available for checkout. Or faculty and staff who make frequent use of classroom equipment may want to request a key for their personal use. In either case, a key request card must be completed, signed by the Dean or Department Head, and delivered to Facilities Management Key Shop. "AV Cabinets" must be printed at the top of the card to specify that the requested key is for the equipment cabinet and not for the room itself. A separate key request card for the room must be completed to obtain a room key.

2. Unlock and open the equipment closet door.

The Audio Cassette Player and other AV equipment is located in the equipment closet at the front left side of the room as you face the class.

Use the BohH 90 equipment key to unlock the closet.

One lock is located by the door handle.

3. Turn on the main power.

The main power button is located below VCR/DVD Player.

It is the window switch type.

Press this button.

4. Turn on the audio receiver.

The audio receiver located in the top portion the equipment closet.

Press the main power button on the receiver.

The audio receiver main power button is the left-most button on the front of the unit.

When the button is pressed in, the unit is in Standby mode as indicated by the amber light. This button must be pressed in to operate the unit.

Then press the Standby/On button on the receiver.

The audio receiver Standby/On button is  directly below the main power button.

When the unit is in operation, the indicator light is blue.

Next, press the Source button until "Tape Analog" is displayed on the front of the reciever.

5. Set the timer switch to OFF on the cassette player.

The audio cassette player is located in the closet.

Set the timer switch on the cassette player to the position that is labled "OFF".

The timer switch is a sliding type button on the bottom front of the unit.

6. Press POWER to switch on the cassette player.

The power button is the leftmost button on the front of the unit.

7. Be sure the Deck I Pitch Cont. knob is set to the center for normal tape speed.

The Deck I Pitch Control knob is on the mid front of the unit.

8. Insert your cassette tape.

Press the Deck I eject button to open Deck I.

The eject button is on in middle top portion on the front of the unit.

Insert your tape.

The cassette insertion area is on the left side on the front of the unit.

9. Press the PLAY button.

The play button is located in the middle section on the front of the unit.

10. Adjust the volume on the receiver.

The volume dial is the largest one on the right side of the unit.

11. Press the stop button when finished.

The play button is located in the middle section on the front of the unit.

12. Eject your tape.

The eject button is on in middle top portion on the front of the unit.

Remove your tape from the player.

13. Press POWER to switch off the cassette player.

The power button is the leftmost button on the front of the unit.

14. Turn off the audio receiver.

Press the Standby/On button the receiver to turn it off.

The audio receiver Standby/On button is  directly below the main power button.

15. Turn off the main power.

Lower the power switch to the off position.

The main power button is located below VCR/DVD Player.

16. Close and lock the equipment closet door.

Close and lock the equipment closet door using the BohH 90 equipment key.

The lock is located on the right hand side of the door. Please double check to make sure this door is locked.
