The MonH 70 equipment cabinet key may be requested by departments or by faculty teaching in this room.
Classroom keys and building master keys do not open these locks. Departments with faculty or staff needing access to the AV /computer equipment may want to have a key in their department office available for checkout. Or faculty and staff who make frequent use of classroom equipment may want to request a key for their personal use. In either case, a key request card must be completed, signed by the Dean or Department Head, and delivered to Facilities Management Key Shop. "AV Cabinets" must be printed at the top of the card to specify that the requested key is for the equipment cabinet and not for the room itself. A separate key request card for the room must be completed to obtain a room key.
The projector controls and other equipment are located in the equipment cabinet at the front of the room. This cabinet has two locks. Use the equipment cabinet key to unlock them.
Then open the doors.
The microphone is located at the bottom section of the equipment cabinet. Take it out of the cabinet. Plug it into the Mic2 receptacle at the front of the room directly below the blackboard.
Then place the other end on you in the position you prefer for your presentation.
The audio amplifier is located on the left wall as you face the class. It is by door number 20. Open the amplifier door.
And unlatch the second amplifier door to reveal the controls.
The audio amplifier is normally left on, and a small green light on the front of the amplifier indicates when it is on. If the green light is not on, press the power button on the amplifier.
Check the audio amplifier volume levels. If the volume for the Wired Mic is not correct adjust the dial on the amplifier labeled Mic2.
The dial on the amplifier labeled Master adjusts the overall volume level of all devices connected to the room audio system. Adjust it up or down as necessary, but be aware that this also adjusts the volume for any other devices that may be connected to the amplifier. It is best to adjust the volume using the Wired Mic dial rather than Master.
Set all level controls you will NOT be using to minimum. Then close the amplifier doors.

Unplug the microphone from the Mic2 receptacle at the front of the room.
Return it to the the bottom section of the equipment cabinet.
Close and lock the equipment cabinet doors using the equipment key.
Please double check to make sure that the cabinet is locked.
