Using the Desktop Computer in a General Purpose Classroom

1. Turn on the classroom technology control system

General purpose classrooms are equipped with a control system panel that eliminates most individual remote controls and power switches. A.V. equipment is located in the equipment cabinet or podium at the front of the room. The control panel is usually located on top of the cabinet or podium.

On Button Press the "ON" button.

The projector will begin warming up. After two to three minutes the projector will be ready for use.

2. Select the Desktop input on the control panel

Desktop Button Press the "DESKTOP" button.

3. Adjust the sound, if needed

Volume Up Button Press the "VOLUME UP" button to increases the sound.

Volume Down Button Press the "VOLUME DOWN" button to decrease the sound.

Mute Button Press the "MUTE" button to cut the sound. Press it a second time to restore the sound.

4. Turn off the system

Off Button Press the "OFF" button to turn off the system.

The projector lamp will turn off. Approximately one second after that the, lamp will be cooled for about a minute. Then the system will be completely shut off.
