UMCal

Students as designates in umCal

Many of our departments on campus would like their student workers to have designate rights in the umCal system. In order for this to happen:

  1. The student must request a umCal account (http://www1.umn.edu/umcal/forms/UMCalSignUp.html#form)
  2. The department must send an email to umcal@umn.edu with the Internet ID(s) of the student(s) who need this kind of access. (Oracle Calendar does not allow designates across nodes. Since UMD is node 200, and UM students are node 203, the umCal team must make a manual change to the student accounts.) Once this is done, designate rights may be assigned as usual.
