Dial up (modem) Access
Configuring Apple OSX computers
Note: Apple does not include a built in phone modem. We recommend purchasing Apple's external modem.
- Click on the
icon
from the right side of the menubar and select "Open Network Preferences".
- From the Network System Preference pane that appears, enter the Telephone
Number (728-7300), username, and password (same as your email).

- Close the Network Preferences pane.
- To start the the dial-in process, click on the
icon
and select "Connect Internal modem " (even though
your modem may be external).

- You should hear the sound of dialing, then some "squealing", and
then quiet as the modem finishes the connection.
- To disconnect, slect the "Disconnect" option from the
icon.
