Dial up (modem) Access
Configuring Windows Vista computers
Once a modem is installed, you can then configure a connection to UMD.
- From the Start menu (round Windows button), select Control Panel.
- Under Network and Internet click Connect to the Internet.
- Select the Dial-up option.
- In the "Dial-up phone number" field, type 728-7300.
- In the "User name" and "Password" fields, enter your UMD X.500 username and password (same as e-mail).
- In the "Connection Name" field, type UMD.
- Click the Connect button to test the connection and finish setting it up.
