Recovering MS Office Files

Since MS Office software is no longer available, OpenOffice has become the primary means of editing and printing documents on the SunRays. Files saved with MS Office can still be accessed, but to do so, you need to navigate to a special folder within OpenOffice.

To open a file previously saved in MS Office:

  1. Click on the 'OpenOffice.org' icon on the desktop and wait for the program to load.
    Open Office icon
  2. Once the file selection dialog appears, click the 'My Documents' button, then double-click 'windir'.
