UMD Advanced Tech Camp
Selection Criteria:
- Participants must have successfully completed a regular Tech Camp.
- Each participant must have at least one course that is a good candidate
for improving with technology, either for on-campus delivery or for delivery
at a distance. It is expected that the resulting enhanced course will be a
showcase for the campus community and will be of significantly higher quality
than a course resulting from regular Tech Camp.
- Each participant must be able to demonstrate considerable expertise and
course enhancements as a result of participation at regular tech camp.
- Priority will be given to tenured, tenure-track, or full-time term (nonregular)
faculty members. Nonregular faculty who are likely to remain at the University
for one or more years beyond the current year are more likely to be accepted
than those with a very short term of appointment.
- Each participant must submit a quality proposal for an advanced approach
to improve the instructional experience through the use of technology.
- Each participant must have a good familiarity with, as demonstrated by regular
use of:
- Pagemill or Dreamweaver
- PowerPoint
