University of Minnesota Duluth Tech Camp

Welcome to UMD's Tech Camp 11

View of UMD

Welcome! You are invited to participate in the Tech Camp for UMD faculty. This camp will lay the groundwork for designing and teaching courses using technological tools. It will provide faculty participants with enough and varied experience to comfortably bring technology to bear on academic courses they teach. This particular Tech Camp will emphasize both the pedagogical approach and technology tools for online course delivery.

Tech Camp will include workshops and hands-on activities which will enable faculty to:
* link instructional design to technological tools
* design and manage Web sites
* use course management tools to manage online learning
* learn how to teach online

Tech Camp has space for 20 participants who will begin a project that in some way enhances a selected course for online learning.

Interested faculty must submit an application, from which 20 participants will be chosen. Participants will each receive $2000 for needed hardware or software and 20 hours of student assistance.

Individual consultation on course design will precede the camp.

Interested? Follow the links to the left.

Funding for the Tech Camp is generously provided by Chancellor Kathryn A. Martin and Vice Chancellor for Academic Administration Vincent Magnuson as part of the ongoing Technology Initiative on our campus.
