Configuration information

This page is a quick reference containing configuration information for UMD TCP/IP or internet connections. It is intended for people who know how to configure their TCP/IP software and need generic UMD configuration information. It is not intended as a step-by-step guide on configuring your computer for TCP/IP or internet services.

    [username].d.umn.edu, where [username] is your x.500 or e-mail user ID (i.e. fsimmons )

    This field should contain an e-mail address, for example [username]@d.umn.edu (again, where [username] is your x.500 user ID, i.e. smith999 or jone9999). You could also leave this field blank.
  • WWW servers

    8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity

GETTING SCRIPT FROM WEBPAGE:

  • Right-click on this link and choose Save this link as... or Save Target As... out of the pop-up menu.
  • Save the file as ppp.scp in the Accessories folder. Then configure the properties of your modem connection to use this script.
