If you have an on-campus ethernet connection you can also install the programs below (except Norton AntiVirus) directly from the ITSS Guest Software Server. Use the AppleShare icon in your Chooser to connect to the ITSS Guest Server in the UMD-MWAH zone as a Guest (click on the "Guest" button).

Mulberry, Netscape, Internet Explorer, Acrobat Reader, and Norton AntiVirus are also available on a CD from the UMD Computer Corner for a small fee. This may be more convenient if you would be downloading these larger applications over a modem. The CD also contains Internet dial-in configuration instructions.

Mulberry	14 MB	UMD's recommended email software.
Internet Explorer 5.1 for OS 8.1-OS9	8 MB	Expands into already installed application folder.
Netscape 6 for OS 8.6-OS9	2 MB	This installer will download 16 MB of additional files from Netscape. The CD (see above) has the complete 18 MB installer.
Netscape 6 for OSX	24 MB	Netscape does not come with OSX.
Netscape 4.79	22 MB	Less compatible with some web sites.
Norton Anti-Virus	56 MB	Site licensed for the UofM.
Acrobat Reader 5	56 MB	For displaying and printing PDF files.
NCSA Telnet	500 K	For terminal connections to bulldog, ub, etc.
Fetch 4.0	1.5 MB	For FTP transfer of files, web pages, etc.
tn3270	500 K	For terminal connections to UofM administrative systems.
