Changing passwords with umCal

I changed my X.500 password and now I can't login to my UMCal client.

When you change your X.500 password, it may take up to 15 minutes for that change to be put in place. You may wish to try your old password in the meantime when logging in to umCal or other University systems.

If you are using a umCal desktop client, you will also need to change your offline agenda password to match your new Internet password. To do this in a desktop client:

  1. On the client login window, select "Off-line" from the Connect to dropdown menu.
  2. Enter your username and previous Internet password. Click Sign-in.
  3. Select Tools - Change Password from the menu.
  4. Enter your old and new passwords. Click OK.
  5. Enter your new password again to confirm the change. Click OK.
  6. Select File - Work On-line to connect to the server.
