Web Server Requires Users to Switch to SFTP
- As part of our web server upgrade,
plain FTP service will be disabled on the UMD web server on
February 6, 2012. After that date, you will need to use
secure FTP (SFTP) to upload files to our web server.

UCard Campus Cash Changes Coming Spring / Summer
2012
- ITSS is working with the Business Office, Library,
Auxiliary Services, UMD Stores, and Chemistry to upgrade to a
new technology for campus cash. The new technology will still
allow use of the Ucard, but the cash value will live in a
secure database instead of being magnetically written to the
card.
- Enterprise Data Warehouse Server Replacement
- The Data Warehouse server will be upgraded to an Exadata
server on December 18, 2011. This may or may not have an effect
on how you access the Data Warehouse tables.
