Classroom Updates
Upgraded Projectors - several classroom projectors have been upgraded over summer or semester break. They include Chem 150, Hum 403, SBE 16, 20, 32, 36, 40 and 50. The main difference is that these projectors are now turned on and off with the remote control, not a switch. Also, the computer has a more direct connection, no longer through a control wizard (hockey puck device). They also project a brighter image (2000 lumens) and handle 1024 x 768 computer resolution. Many new features are available via the remote control, such as zoom, picture within a picture, freeze panel, etc.

Centurian Guard - a security device called Centurian Guard has been installed on the PC computers in Chem 150, Chem 200 and MonH 108. This will keep the computer from getting cluttered with user-installed software over the semester. Users may still install their own software and files for a class period, but it will only be there for that one session. If you need files or software for a longer period, please email 'crteam' with your request and someone will help you with this.

External speakers have been installed on all checkout computer projector carts in AV.

More checkout equipment - a DVD player, ElmoPad (document camera) and improved audio cassette players have been added to the AV checkout pool of equipment.
