CAMPUS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR PUBLISHING ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB are now available. Complete details regarding these important guidelines are listed in appropriate locations as are other useful and related ideas and links. It is important to note that the link titled "UMD Web Planning Document" is entirely new and details the policies to be familiar with when planning a web site. Compiled by the UMD Campus Web Committee, this page is a table of contents for the steps to consider before creating a site.

Up-to-date information on how to create, store, and link web sites to the UMD pages is available as are forms to request links for official web pages and storing web pages on UMD's server.

Finally, it is important to be familiar with the "Appropriate Use Policies" so as to be in compliance with the standards the university has deemed reasonable. Appropriate use of information technology, taking software licenses seriously, and student rules for academic computer use are all readily available.
