ITSS Rate Change
Network rates for 2002-2003 will be lower than those originally announced back in December. Please see the Proposed Rates and Fees page for revised rates for 2002-2003.
The reason for this adjustment is that the UM system has decided to make central network services from the Office of Information Technology (OIT) a common good. These services will be supported by the IRS tax rather than by billing back. As a result, ITSS will no longer bill units for the Internet services provided by OIT. This service is not free, but it will be funded in a different way.
As a result, ITSS network rates will reflect these changes:
- Standard ethernet will drop from $7.19 per month to $3.58 per month
- Fast ethernet will drop from $10.31 per month to $6.46 per month
- Wireless hubs will drop from $70.94 per month to $30.52 per month.
