Office and New Desktop Available on SunRays
- In response to changes requested
by students and SunRay users, ITSS is offering a new desktop and Microsoft
Office products on the SunRay computers in all pubic access areas.

data networks become more and more important in our daily work, it becomes
increasingly important to improve security. One way to do this is to insist
that information flowing between external networks and the UMD network be
encrypted before transmission.
- The Faculty Toolkit is a collection
of free and reduced-price multimedia software available to University of Minnesota
instructors to use for University course development and instructional purposes.
- This teaching program allows online
tests, surveys and evaluation assessments.
Scheduling Information, Classroom Technology Upgrades, and AV Checkout Additions
- Room scheduling information is
now available for viewing online, more classrooms have been updated with useful
technology, and projection cards are now available for iPAQs.

that will cover web accessibility and accessibility requirements for other

Virus Protection for Your Computer
- The University's Office of Information
Technology (OIT) establishes minimum requirements for use of various technology
resources, and these standards must be followed by those within the University
unless exceptions are approved by OIT.

email to all users subscribed to the infotech.announce and umd.business.announce
email lists. The goal of this digest is to distribute information that is useful
