Classroom and Resource Changes
There have been some useful updates and changes to the classroom technology tools resources over the summer. Here is a list of changes and improvements:

MonH 203 has a ceiling mounted projector with AV cabinet containing a VCR, closed-caption decoder, power and an ethernet connection. Users need to request an AV cabinet key from Facilities Management to access this equipment.

MonH 208 has been split from MonH 206. Each has a network connection and overhead projector, as all general purpose classrooms have.

CCtr 120, BohH 90, SBE 16, 20, 32, 36, 40, and 50 all have new, upgraded projectors. Any changes in operation of the new equipment can be found by checking the on-line documentation at the Classroom and Research Technology home page and selecting Technology in Classrooms.

New Services:
AV has a limited number of laptops available to check out for on campus use. The same rules apply to these as to the computers on carts, with the exception that the laptops are not to be checked out overnight. See the ITSS policy governing laptop use at the Instructional Technology Checkout Policy homepage.

AV has also added two small USB Color Quickcam video cameras for checkout that can be connected to computers for video-conferencing or video capture.

Another new service we are offering the campus is to manage (service, check out, etc.) department-owned equipment for use by that department only. For information on criteria for accepting equipment, policies and fees for this service visit the Managing Equipment for Departments web page.

The ITSS Classroom Technology Team may also accept equipment donated by departments for use by the entire campus community. For information on how to do this visit the Donating Equipment web site.
