iPAQs at UMD
The College of Science and Engineering started their iPAQ initiative this fall by issuing wireless-enabled iPAQs to students majoring in chemical engineering, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, and industrial engineering.

ITSS has helped support this initiative by providing some technical guidance and assistance in formatting the iPAQs so they work with UMD's wireless network.

The program has been very well received by the students. Aproximately 275 of the units were issued to students and a good number more have been obtained by various staff and faculty on campus. iPAQs are available for purchase in the Computer Corner.

ITSS is excited to be part of this advancement in technology for our campus and our students. For more information about how the iPAQs function at UMD visit the UMD iPAQ home page.
