Policies On The Web

The start of the academic year is a good time to review important policies. The University of Minnesota has done an outstanding job of putting system-wide policies on the web. Although the number of policies can be intimidating, it can be useful to browse the table of contents to get an idea of the valuable information available. See the U-Wide Policy Library web site.

General policies for UMD can be found on the web at UMD Campus Policies.

Policies governing use of information technology at UMD can be found at Information Technology Policies and Procedures.

Two important policies on the use of information technology are our campus Appropriate Use Policy and the U-Wide Policy on Acceptable Use.

Finally, check out the U-Wide Policy on Telephone Usage. Note that personal long-distance phone calls may not be made using your campus long-distance code.
