Event: Technology & Internet Workshop
Host: Information Technology Systems & Services (ITSS)
Goal: Learn about the Internet and technology careers and make a web page!
On April 25, 2002, UMD joined the 10th annual Take Our Daughters to Work day, hosting a day of events for the daughters, granddaughters, nieces, neighbors, and friends of our faculty and staff.
Following a continentinal breakfast and guest speakers, the girls chose from a variety of hands-on workshops throughtout campus. For the sixth year, ITSS offered it's popular "Internet Workshop", where the girls explore the Internet and create their own home page. The girls also had a chance to experiment with a digital camera and include their pictures on their web page!
