New Voice Mail System
7.24:06: ITSS is working with Qwest Communications to replace our aging voice mail system with a new unified messaging system this summer. The new system will go live early the morning of August 30.
Our new Call Pilot unified messaging system will offer many new features, including:
- Access to voice messages and mail box administration via the web.
- Text-to-speech capabilities for retrieving e-mails from a phone.
- Speech recognition of mail box commands.

UMD Information Technology Systems & Services (ITSS) provides both local and long distance telephone services to the campus. A variety of phones are available to suit different needs on campus.
As part of the phone service, automated voice mail is available on every phone extension.
