Significant changes have occurred in funding ITSS support for Fiscal Year 2007.   Internal University customers, who use a CUFS number to pay for ITSS services, will no longer receive monthly charges for computer accounts, email, file storage, Novell access, network connections, data entry and test scoring, and desktop software support services.

ITSS will continue to bill all telephone sets and the associated infrastructure ports, long-distance calling services, Interactive TV classroom rental, and requests for staff labor support in the areas of audio-visual, consulting and programming, web development, workstation maintenance and parts, support for department servers, and other special projects as arranged with ITSS.

External University customers, who pay by cash, check or credit card, will continue to be billed monthly for the respective support provided by ITSS.

The cost for a phone set has not been included in this model since the rate varies depending upon the set features. However, there is no change in the phone set rates for FY 07.

Beginning with Fiscal Year 2007 the research and thesis program rates have been discontinued. The services previously covered by the grant program are now included with standard computer accounts.

Standard - These accounts are for University departments, agencies, faculty and staff for the purpose of supporting administrative and instructional work. Faculty and other teaching staff may use this account for research, course related electronic mail, course development and other instructional work. Access to the computer labs for faculty for instructional or course development purposes for a class taught in the labs is free.

Commercial (External clients needing specialized software) - These accounts are charged according to the system rates.

Governmental/Non-Profit (Tax-exempt clients needing specialized software) - These accounts are charged according to the system rates.

Sponsored Internet (Individual with University affiliation and sponsor) - These accounts are charged according to the system rates.

Student - All students pay a $4.50 per-credit basic access fee with their tuition which provides them with Internet access. This fee is charged only for the first 18 credits attempted by a student each semester. There is no additional charge for attempted credits over a maximum of 18. A mandatory minimum $13.50 fee is charged to students registered for 0 to 3 credits. Access to the computer labs this year is available to students who pay an additional $64.25 lab access fee per semester.
