Administrative - These accounts are for departments, agencies, and staff for the purpose of supporting the administrative work of the campus.
Instructional - An instructional account on a central system can be used by faculty and teaching assistants for electronic mail, course development, and other instructional work done by faculty and other teaching staff. Access to the computer labs for faculty for instructional or course development purposes for a class taught in the labs is free. Instructors who wish to use our test scoring service must apply for an instructional account.
Commercial (External clients needing specialized software) - These accounts are charged according to the system rates.
Governmental/Non-Profit (Tax-exempt clients needing specialized software) - These accounts are charged according to the system rates.
Sponsored Internet (Individual with University affiliation and sponsor) - These accounts are charged according to the system rates.
Research - These accounts support central system computer use for research work done by the faculty. These accounts are charged $75 for each $1000 of computing service usage. Sun, SGI and Novell office server charges can be paid from research grants.
Student - All students pay a $2.50 per-credit basic access fee with their tuition which provides them with Internet access. This fee is charged only for the first 18 credits attempted by a student each quarter. There is no additional charge for attempted credits over a maximum of 18. A mandatory minimum $15 fee is charged to students registered for 1 to 5 credits. Access to the computer labs this year is available to students who pay an additional $36 lab access fee per quarter. In addition, all students pay $.05 for each laser page printed. Color pages cost $.80 per page.
Thesis - These accounts support central system computer use for research work done by graduate students. These accounts are charged $75 for each $1000 of computing service usage. Sun, SGI and Novell office server charges can be paid from thesis grants.
