New Employee Checklist

Following is a description of the forms most commonly needed for a new University employee.

Service Description Service Request
Central system account Email account and access to Enterprise systems, modem pool, etc. Standard email/Internet account
Novell account Access to Office Server software, network printing, shared drive (H: drive) Add, change or remove a Novell Office Server account
Computer setup (select one) Install new computer on the network
  • Verify network connection
  • Configure University security settings.
  • Install standard University software (Office, Symantec, email).
  • Create workstation account and/or set up Novell access.
  • Set up network printing
Install a new computer on the network
Set up existing computer for new employee
  • Verify University security settings.
  • Update standard University software (Office, Symantec, email).
  • Create new workstation account and/or set up Novell access for new employee. NOTE: Without this step, a new employee will not be able to log in to the computer.
