Getting a 10.x.x.x IP address
Problem: When I run WINIPCFG or IPCONFIG, I get a 10.x.x.x IP address.
Solution: Register your connection.
You will get a 10.x.x.x IP address for the following reasons:
- You have not registered your computer yet.
- You registered your connection, but then moved to a new room.
- You registered your connection, but then changed computers.
- You registered your connection, but have not used your computer for an extended period of time.
- You registered your connection, but a network scan indicates a new security problem.
