CommonName Software - no access to .EDU or .MIL sites
Problem: I can't access any .EDU or .MIL web sites.
Solution: Uninstall CommonName software.
CommonName is installed by default when you install Imesh and some other music sharing applications. When CommonName is installed, requests to access .EDU or .MIL web sites are re-directed to the CommonName server.
To resolve this problem, we recommend that you uninstall the CommonName software from your computer. Uninstalling this software will not effect the functionality of Imesh but will cause you to get less popups when connecting to .EDU and .MIL sites.
To uninstall the CommonName software:
- Click Start - Settings - Control Panel or Start - Control Panel.
- From the Control Panel, click on Add/Remove Programs.
- When the screen comes up, click on the program named "CommonName" to highlight it and then click the button.
- Click on the button.
- After the uninstallation finishes, click Close.
- Reboot your computer.
