- Open the TCP/IP control panel (Apple menu -> Control Panels -> TCP/IP)
- Click on the "Connect via" pop-up menu and select Ethernet.
- Click on the "Configure:" pop-up menu and select Using DHCP Server.

- Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu or from its icon on the Dock, and then click on the Network icon.
- Click on the Show pop-up menu, and choose Built-in Ethernet.
- Under the TCP/IP tab, click on the Configure pop-up menu and choose Using DHCP.
- Click the Apply now button to make your settings active.
