Mobile Devices

To use your mobile device (iPad, tablet, iPod, Droid, etc.) on the University network, you will need to authenticate with your University Internet/email ID and password.

If you do not know your Internet ID and password, please call or stop by the ITSS TechCenter Help Desk during business hours (Kirby Plaza 165, 218-726-8847).

Register your device from a web browser

If your mobile device has a browser:

Open up the web browser
On the UMD Wireless sign in page, enter your University Internet/email ID and password.

Register your device manually using our online form

If your mobile device does not have a web browser:

From any computer, go to: Register your wireless device
Sign in with your University Internet/email ID and password.
Enter the wireless MAC address of your mobile device.

Use "Guest Access"

If you do not know the MAC address of your network device, you may be able to connect to the guest wireless network. Availability and instructions for connecting to the guest wireless network are here: Wireless access.
