Ethernet connection works intermittently

Problem: My Ethernet connection works for awhile but then quits.

Solution: Turn the Ethernet card power management off.

When the computer goes into sleep mode, the default is to also turn off the Ethernet card. When the computer comes back on, however, it doesn't automatically turn the card back on. The solution is to turn the power management off for the Ethernet card.
