Troubleshooting Guide
Problems with Ethernet connections and network access can be caused by a number of reasons, including:
- your network software is not configured properly
- your Ethernet adapter is not installed and/or configured properly
- your Ethernet cable is broken or is the wrong type
- your Etherjack is not working properly (it may have been disabled by ITSS)
- the UMD network is currently inaccessible (either a planned or unplanned network outage)
This guide is intended to help users determine what the problem is and how to fix it. You can print this guide from any web computer on campus.
