Symantec Quarantine

Q: How do I remove a virus from quarantine?

A: Open Symantec Antivirus by clicking the shield icon in the System Tray

 
 

For Windows XP, you may have to click the < bracket for your task items to show

 

From the View menu, Select Quarantine

If a virus is quarantined it will appear in the Quarantine Window. To remove a file from quarantine select the file and click the "X" icon

Then click the Start Delete button

Although quarantined viruses are safe and can not harm your system, it is recommended that they be cleared out to ensure maximum safety.
