SPSS Site License - 2009

University of Minnesota Site License for Faculty/Staff

Begining January 2009, all UMD faculty and staff are eligible to obtain SPSS through a University-wide site license. The site license and software distribution is administered by Academic Computing on the Twin Cities campus.

The site license includes SPSS 17 for Windows XP/Vista or Mac OSX with the following modules:

NOTE: SPSS 17.0 will not run on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). See: Mac OS X v10.6: About incompatible software for details.

Mac OSX 10.6 requires PASW (formerly SPSS) 18. This version will not be available as part of the University site license until later this fall.

For additional hardware requirements, see: PASW Statistics 17.0 System Requirements.

What is the cost?

The annual cost for a license is posted on the Academic Computing web site. Each license is valid for one computer only and must be renewed annually.
