Audio Visual Technician

Job Prerequisites

• Work hours: Monday-Friday 7:30 am-10 pm
• Must work at least 10 hours per week

Essential Qualifications

• Customer service experience
• Good communication skills
• Courteous
• Reliable
• Able to work under pressure
• At least two years left at UMD
• Able to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, breaks, and summer
• Interest in and knowledge of AV equipment, interactive television, and satellite service

• Number of years remaining at UMD
• Flexibility in scheduling
• AV knowledge and skills

Job Duties

Major Job Functions

• Operate AV checkout service (make reservations for customers via walkin, phone, and email, check equipment in and out)
• Operate ITV classroom sessions
• Assist students, faculty, and staff with AV equipment
• Troubleshoot, clean, maintain AV equipment
• Respond to dead-in-the-water classroom equipment emergencies
