Access Rights

Setting the Access Rights for A Designate

If someone else has to manage your schedule, they need to be a designate. A designate is someone who can modify the contents of another person's Calendar or a resource's Calendar. To do this, a designate needs to have certain access rights to your Calendar. Those access rights must be authorized by you.

To give another person designate rights to your Calendar, click on Options, Access Rights.

At the Designate tab, fill in the name of the person who will be the designate for your Calendar. Now click the checkmark or press Enter on the keyboard. Or, select the search iconto do a Directory Search for their name. Their name will move to the lower box and it will be highlighted. Then click Full designate rights checkbox and that person can manage your Calendar entries and tasks as determined by you.

The Designate: To be a designate you must be granted access rights as outlined above. Once you have access rights and you want to change the other person's agenda, log in as yourself. Then click on File|Open Agenda|An Agenda As Designate.

Click on OK and the agenda of your designate appears. Add new meetings, tasks, events or notes as you would for yourself.
