Creating a Site

  1. Go to the "Site" menu
  2. Choose "New Site..."
  3. Click the "Advanced" button

The category column is on the left, and the choices available for the selected category are on the right. The table below has suggestions for filling in the categories:

Local Info
  1. Site Name: Same name as the "Local Root Folder"
  2. Local Root Folder: Browse (click on the folder icon to the right of the text field) to the "C" drive or "Macintosh HD"
    1. create a folder named "DWManagement"
    2. use this folder
      • Windows users: open this folder and click "Select"
      • Mac users: click "Choose"
Remote Info
  1. Access: (default says "none") FTP
  2. FTP Host: www.d.umn.edu
  3. Host Directory: www/
  4. Login: your Internet (email) id (e.g., breeves)
  5. Leave the "Password:" field blank (you will be prompted when uploading)
  6. check "Use Secure FTP (SFTP)"
  1. Click "Ok"
  2. Click "Done"
