Inserting an Image

Inserting an image into Dreamweaver is easy. Before you can see just how easy it is, let's type in the following words so there is some text to insert an image into (words in red between the "* *" ask you to perform tasks you learned in the first Dreamweaver workshop):

Inserting an Image into Dreamweaver *Center and make the Largest Heading - also use as the Title of your page*

I need some text on this page so I can play with inserting an image. The more text I have, the more text is available to play with.

Text is good because: *Make the following three (3) items a Numbered List*

It is easily typed in

It can be turned into a link to UMD's home page *Select "link to UMD's home page" and enter its url*

It is readable

This is enough text. *Save page as "InsertImage.html (Mac users) or InsertImage (Windows users)"*

View your page in your Web browser to see what it looks like. If all went well it should look something like the completed project page. (note the title of the page at the top of the browser).

If your page doesn't look something like the completed project page or you couldn't remember how to do the tasks asked of you, please take the time to review "Making Your First Web Page with Dreamweaver."

Let's move on "Inserting an Image... Really."
