Create Introduction Scene Frame 1

Scene Construction

The introduction scene is made up of only three frames. This scene is used to:

Entering and Editing Text

Using the Help Menu

In the Web browser loaded with the Flash "Help":

  1. click the "Contents" tab
  2. click on "Using Type"
  3. click on "Creating text"

Create the Text

  1. How do you create a fixed width text block?
    1. create a fixed width text box
    2. type in "Torques and Moments of Force"
    3. create a second fixed width text box
    4. type in "Exercises"
  2. How do you change the font?
    1. change the font to "verdana"
  3. How do you change font size?
    1. change the upper text box to a font size of "32"
    2. change the lower text box to a font size of "25"

Adding a Symbol from the Common Library

Using the Help Menu

In the Web browser loaded with the Flash "Help":

  1. choose one of the three tabs (Contents, Index, Search)
  2. find "Working with Common Libraries"

Add the Navigational Button

  1. How do you add a pre-made button from a Library?
    1. open "Common Library"
    2. open "(circle) Button Set"
    3. choose "circle with arrow"
    4. add to the stage
      • Is this button now in your Library?

Add an Action to an Object

Using the Help Menu

In the Web browser loaded with the Flash "Help":

  1. choose one of the three tabs (Contents, Index, Search)
  2. find "Working with Common Libraries"

Add the Action

  1. How can you make the button advance to the next frame when it's clicked?
    1. assign to the button the basic action of "Go to"
    2. for "Type" pick "Next Frame"
