Creating a Site
- Go to the "Site" menu
- Choose "Show Settings ..."
- Click on the button marked "Add"
- Find the section called "Site Info"
- Locate the text box "Site Name:"
- Type "~youruserid"
This name can be anything you want but be sure to make it meaningful.
When you come back to your Web site in a couple of weeks it's helpful
to have a name that will jog your memory.
- For "Local Site Location" browse your hard drive and find the folder
where you're keeping this PageMill file. This is the folder named "~youruserid"
created when the file was first saved.
- Find the section called "Site Destination"
- Fill in the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) fields with the following:
| Host Name: |
www.d.umn.edu |
| User Name: |
youruserid |
| Password: |
yourpassword |
| Remote Folder: |
www |
Click on "OK" when you're done.
With your site created, let's find out how to "Let the
