The image to the right is going to be used in this exercise. To download it to your computer, put your cursor over the image and right click (Windows) or hold the mouse button down (Mac OS) until a menu pops up. One of the choices is to "Save this Image as..." Save it into the folder created in the first PageMill workshop or create a folder for this workshop titled "PageMill Workshop 2".
Now that we have some text to play with, let's play!
You now have an image in your document! View it in your Web browser to see what it looks like.
If life is good, it will look something like the image to the right.
You've probably noticed this workshop page has text wrapping around its images and there is a border around the first image. Why should I have all the fun? Let's do the same with our work page!
First, let's add some alternate text. Alternate text is a description of the
image and is useful for people using screen readers, people with non-graphical
browsers, and those surfing with their graphics turned off (the last group is
currently about 20% of the Web surfers).
With the image still selected, create a border:
I have a border value of "1" for the image at the top of this page.
We still haven't wrapped text so head on to "Text Wrapping and Clearing."
