In order for the streaming server to work with the movie, the movie needs to be prepared by "hinting" the tracks in the movie. This is done during an export of the movie.

1. open the movie in QuickTime Pro
2. adjust size of viewing window for your target audience
3. go to the "File" menu
4. choose "Export..."
5. choose one of the streaming choices from the drop-down "Use:" menu
• alternately, you may click on the "options" button and manually make choices
6. rename your movie to something that indicates it's for streaming (e.g., scarecrowhinted.mov)
7. save

The movie will be processed. This can take some time.
