Add a Page

You may be able to add pages to a website administered by someone else. Permission to add pages (and delete them) is granted by the website administrator.

To add a page:

  1. You need to be browsing mode first. If you are editing a page, choose to publish it or save it for later
  2. Click the button "New Page"
  3. In the "New Page" window, you may have several options - choose from one of them***:
    • Blank Web Page
    • Copy of Current Page
    • Sample Pages
    • Templates
  4. Add your content
  5. Save your page by either clicking the "Publish" button or the "Save for later" button

 


***For the Workshop

  1. You need to be browsing mode first. If you are editing a page, choose to publish it or save it for later
  2. Click the button "New Page"
  3. In the "New Page" window, open the "Templates" folder, if necessary, and choose the "nav_1col" template
  4. Give the page a title in the field "Page title"
  5. Click the "OK" button
  6. Type a title in the "Heading" Region such as "Table Example"
  7. Position your cursor in the "content" region of the new page
  8. In the toolbar, locate the Table icon and click it
  9. Leave all of the values as they are except for the location of the header, which you should switch to "Both"
  10. Click the "OK" button
  11. Complete the values as seen in the Table Example
  12. Adjust the table size and column widths by dragging edges to where you want them
  13. Adjust the alignment of the table cells by highlighting the contents and using the alignment buttons in the toolbar
  14. Publish or save the document for later
