Adding Content from Other Programs

You can add content from other programs, such as Microsoft Word to your Contribute pages.

To add content from another program:

  1. In browsing mode, locate the page where you want to insert the content from another program
  2. Click the "Edit Page" button to switch to editing mode
  3. Open the file in the other program***
  4. Copy the information you want to include in your webpage from that file
  5. Switch back to Contribute
  6. Click the location in your Contribute webpage where you want the information pasted
  7. In the menu bar, click "Edit"
  8. From the "Edit" menu, choose "Paste"

***For the workshop

  1. Open Word and create a new document
  2. Type a simple sentence to use as an example
  3. Copy the sentence
  4. Switch back to Contribute
  5. In browsing mode, locate the page where you want to insert the content from another program
  6. Click the "Edit Page" button to switch to editing mode
  7. Click the location in your Contribute webpage where you want the information pasted
  8. In the menu bar, click "Edit"
  9. From the "Edit" menu, choose "Paste"
