Edit a Page

Once connected to a website, you are in a preview/browsing mode. You can use the page's links to browse around the website just as you would in a web browser. Once you have located the page you need to edit, you can switch to editing mode by clicking on the "Edit" button.

To edit a page:

1. If you have just created a new page, you will be in editing mode automatically. If you are editing an existing page, open the page or browse to the page and click on the "Edit" button to begin editing.

To enter text:

1. Position your cursor where you want the new text to appear
2. Type the new text and format if needed.
3. If the page has text, highlight the existing text and type in the new text
4. When you are done editing the page, click on the "Publish" button to publish your page to your website.

Note: when you save pages to publish later, the files are kept on your computer. The location depends upon what operating system you use and which version of Contribute you have.

Workshop Activity:

• Open a page to edit and modify the page.
• Remember to Publish your page!
