Creating a Site
- go to the "Site" menu
- choose "Manage Sites..."
- click "New..."
- choose "Site" from the drop-down menu
- click the "Advance" button at the top of the window
As with setting preferences, the category column is on the left and the choices
available for the selected category are on the right. The table below has
suggestions for filling in the categories:
Suggested Dreamweaver Site Settings

| Local Info |
- Site Name: Same name as the "Local Root Folder"
- Local Root Folder:
- browse to your hard drive
- create a folder named "~yourinternetid"
- choose "~yourinternetid"

| Remote Info |
- Server Access: (default says "none") FTP
- FTP Host: www.d.umn.edu
- Host Directory: www/
- Login: your internet (email) id
- check "Use Secure FTP (SFTP)"
- click "OK"
